LINDA JEAN SEBASTIAN MAY 1, 1947 " JUNE 3, 2007 Linda Jean (nee SLANE) passed away peacefully June 3, 2007 in the presence of her loving family. Predeceased by her father Charles Arnold SLANE, Linda will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 37 years, Fred; son, Jeffrey of Regina, mother, Jean Slane, Boiestown, NB; sisters, Mary Jane Stairs (Eugene), Storytown, NB, Phyllis Price (Blaine), Sussex, NB, and Charlene Johnston (Sam), Durham Bridge, NB. Linda fought a short but courageous battle against cancer. She was an inspiration to everyone who knew her and was always prepared to assist in whatever way she could. Linda was raised in the Fredericton, NB area, however, moved to Vancouver in 1967 where she met her husband, Fred. In 1977 she relocated to Regina and worked at the Regina Community Clinic for 23 years, retiring in 2002. A devout Roman Catholic, Linda loved attending daily mass at Blessed Sacrament Church until her illness in December 2006. Linda we give thanks to our creator for the love, affection and sense of humor that you gave us and for your presence in our lives. We wish God could have spared you for a few more years, however, our hearts will always treasure your memories. You will be in our thoughts and prayers forever. We would like to extend heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Dr. L. Clein, Dr. Jo-Ann McLeod and a very special thank-you to the nursing staff at Unit 3A, Pasqua Hospital and William Booth Grace Hospice. Also, a very special thank-you to Homecare nurse Linda Bodnarchuk, Palliative Chaplain Cliff Geiger and Lana and associates at Southland Walmart. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 7, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament R. C. Church, 2049 Scarth Street, Regina with Rev. Emmett Morrissey, Celebrant. Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2007 at St. Joachims R.C. Church, Boiestown, NB. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joachims R. C. Church, Boiestown, NB with Rev. Mark Tropz, Celebrant. Interment to follow at McGivney Community Cemetery, McGivney, NB. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made, in Lindas memory, to William Booth Wascana Grace Hospice, 50 Angus Road, Regina S4R 8P6.
