Obituary of Lorne Eli Mayes

LORNE MAYES AUGUST 9, 1928 " JUNE 6, 2007 It is with great sadness that the family of Lorne Mayes wish to announce his sudden passing at the Regina General Hospital on June 6, 2007. Lorne was predeceased by his wife, Irene; his father, Mike and mother, Marie; brothers, Nick and John; brother-in-law, John; sisters-in-law, Mary and Victoria; and nieces and nephews. He leaves to mourn his brothers, Dan (Rose), George, Bill (Kay) and sisters, Ann Fewchuk and Eleanor (George) Biholar; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In 1957 Lorne joined the Regina Fire Department, becoming a Lieutenant and was Acting Captain at the time of his early retirement in 1983. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, June 8, 2007 at 7:00 " 8:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
