Obituary of Nicholas Roth
On June 16, 2007, Nicholas Roth of Regina Saskatchewan passed away at the age of 97. Nick was predeceased by his loving wife Alice of 25 years; his parents, John and Magdeline Roth and also his sister Clara McLean of Toronto, Ontario, his brothers Mike Roth and Joseph Roth of Regina, sisters-in-law Marguerite Dhuez, Eva Doucette, Eugenie Duperon, Lina Bailey, brothers-in-law Eugene Dhuez, Fred Dhuez, Irving Doucette, Francis Duperon and Harry Bailey. He is survived by his sister, Caroline Barron of Bradford, Ontario; sister-in-law Irene Dhuez of Rosthern, SK, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Nick Roth was born on March 8, 1910 in the district of Francis. He was educated at the local school in Francis until he attended high school in Tyvan and finished his education at Campion College in Regina. On October 8,1957 he married Alice Dhuez in Regina, SK. Nick farmed in the Francis district until 1973. At this time he retired in Regina where he lived a full and happy life for 50 years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 2360-2nd Ave., Regina, SK S4R 1A6, or Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre St., Regina, SK S4P 2R3. Prayers will be held at St. Cecilias R.C. Church, 5020-7th Ave., Regina, on Monday, June 18, 2007 at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Cecilias R.C.
