1919 - 2005
Ted passed away on November 9, 2005 at the Pasqua Palliative Care Unit with his loving family by his side. Ted was predeceased by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Odling, six brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law. He is survived by Marge, his loving wife and best friend of 61 years, son Jim (Rose), daughter Lois Gadd (Gerry), granddaughters Jana Brown (Dean), Misty Forrest (Tyler) and Mandy, grandson Jamison (Nadine) Montreal, sister Winnifred Wood, Sequim, Washington and many relatives. Ted was born and raised in Davidson, Saskatchewan moving to Regina in 1940. Ted spent over forty years with SaskTel working both in the Repair Shop and the Engineering Department. He became a member of the Amateur Ham Radio Association and received his license in 1949 (VE5TO). He was also a member of the North West Mounted Police Lodge #11. Ted loved working with his hands and enjoyed helping family and friends. He has a very special ability of making something beautiful out of next to nothing. In addition, Ted and Marge enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Hawaii. Teds hobbies included walking, playing cards and music. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 14 at 1:30 p.m. at the Rosemont United Church at 5000 - 8th Ave. with Reverend Marjorie Kent officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined as donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit. The family extends special thanks to all the nursing staff at the Regina General Hospital as well as the Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
