Obituary of Johanna Elizabeth Mooney

MOONEY - JOHANNA ELIZABETH. On Thursday, November 10, 2005 Hanna left this world and passed into Gods loving hands. Hanna was born September 8, 1920 on a farm west of Pense to Frank and Frances Straub. She grew up on the farm and went to school in Pense. She met her husband at a Pense dance. After her marriage to Bill she moved to a farm south of Grand Coulee where they lived until Bill passed away in 1974. Hanna then moved to Regina where she lived until her passing. Predeceased by her husband William (Bill); her parents; her brothers: Ambrose, Frank, John (Louise) and Joe; her sisters: Kay Astalosch and Mary Reich (Art), and brother-in-law, Frank White. Hanna is survived by her daughter Betty Ryder, her son Donald (Susan); grandsons: Philip (Courtney) and Christopher; her sisters: Millie (Leonard) Hauck and Carrie White; her sisters-in-law, Merle and Stephanie Straub, and her brother-in-law, Art Astalosch; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at 3:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 2360 - 2nd Avenue, Regina, S4R 1A6 or to a charity of choice.
