Obituary of Robert John Proudfoot

ROBERT JOHN BOB? PROUDFOOT September 17, 1947 March 3, 2012 Bob was born and completed his education in Saskatoon, then moved to Regina and worked in several different jobs: Federated Indian College, President of John Howard Society and Department of Highways. He passed away peacefully in Regina, following a long struggle with lung cancer. He was surrounded by family and close friends, who were able to enjoy his sense of humour and easygoing personality until the very end. Bob travelled extensively, and was known in many places around the world as extremely generous and kind, and we all experienced his wicked sense of humour and pursuit of fun and laughter. His true loves were golf and all things Thai. He is survived by his wife Patricia and sister Lorri. He was predeceased by his parents Lee and Tal Proudfoot and nephew Trevin. Following Bobs wishes there will be a A Final Farewell to Bob on June 16, 2012 at Royal Regina Golf Course. Memorial golf rounds start at 11 a.m. with reception to follow at 5 p.m. Please inform Ron Rasmussen by June 5, 2012 of your intention to attend either or both events at ron@truckoutfitters.ca Anyone wishing to make a contribution to their favorite charity in Bobs name is welcome to do so. Bobs family gratefully acknowledges the help and support of all his friends and the staff at Palliative Care and William Booth Hospice for their kindness and wonderful care received by Bob.
