Obituary of Arthur Manly Wellman

WELLMAN - Arthur Manly Wellman, born September 27, 1923 passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2005. Manly was the loving husband of Jill Wellman (Pope), son of James Henry and Mabel Rebecca, brother to James Marshall, and Mary Jane Bell, late of Portland, Oregon, father to Leslie, Dick (Maria), Hal, Jill (Rick Uhrich) and John, grandfather to Danielle, Shelley, Julia, Emilie, Kristine, Jim, Tyler, Nicole, Ryan, Jesse and Clare. Born in Regina, attended Benson Public School, Luther College High School and the University of Manitoba. Manly farmed with his father Jim, his brother Marshall, and his sons until 1999. He also built several homes in Regina through his company Manor Homes. He was a Master Mason, member of Emmulation Lodge, later Wascana Lodge and proudly served the Canadian Army Signal Corps at the end of World War II. Manly was an avid reader and coin collector. He enjoyed golf, hunting, travel, his friends, and especially his family. He will be sadly missed. Funeral Service will be held TODAY (Friday) at 1:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Masonic Rights to be observed.
