Obituary of John Farrow Mountain

MOUNTAIN - John F. (Jack) Mountain passed away at the Pasqua Hospital on November 24, 2005 at the age of 92. Jack was predeceased by his wife, Hannah (Caldwell) and his parents, John F. and Annie E. Mountain. Jack is survived by his siblings, Bessie Burton, Dorothy (Gabe) Jansen, Joe (Jean) Mountain and Marion Baird, and by his nieces and nephews: David Burton (Valerie) and their children, Trevor Tyson and Tennille; Tom Mountain (Carol) and his children, Taylor and Andrew; Elizabeth Mountain; Margaret Mountain; and Doug Mountain; Iain Baird (Islay) and their children, Callum, Jill and Rachel, Michael Baird (Carmella) and Brenda Baird (Jeff). Jack was born in Rouleau, and lived there all his life, except for his service in the Canadian Army from 1940 to 1945. Declining health forced him to move to Regina in 2002. The family acknowledge with gratitude the loving care given Jack during his last year and a half spent at Silva Care Seniors Home. A Memorial Service in celebration of Jacks life will be held on Monday, November 28, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue with Rev. Don Bater officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jacks memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina S4P 2R3.
