RATT, Leonard - With sadness the family of Leonard announce his passing on November 27, 2005, Regina, SK, at the age of 65. Predeceased by his parents, Ed Ratt and Madeline Red Dog; sisters Stella and Florence, in infancy. Leonard is survived by his partner Gwen Favel; son Leonard Lance (Darla) Kootenay; grandson, Jaden; granddaughter, Katea; son, Eddie Kootenay; daughter, Trina (Dallas) Kootenay; grandson, Noah; stepchildren, Blaine, Norbert, Floranda (Stacey); step-grandchildren, Germaine, Steve, Jessey, John; mother of his children, Beryl Kootenay, all of Calgary, AB; sister, Caroline Stonechild; grandchildren, Mitchell, William, Kelsey of Star Blanket Cree Nation; niece, Geraldine (Angus) Stonechild of Gordon First Nation; niece, Ethel (Robert) Stonechild, Kelly, Marshall, Kirstan, Marcel, Melissa of Calgary, AB; brother, Alvin Starr (Ratt), of Star Blanket Cree Nation; extended family, brothers, Willard (Doris) Starr, Gerry (Edith) Starr, Irvin (Bernice) Starblanket, Fred Starblanket, Noel (Marg) Starblanket; sisters, Edith (Elmer) Poitras, Lorraine (Maurice) Desnomie, Ethel (Robert) Starblanket, all of Star Blanket Cree Nation, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Traditional Wake at the Okanese Learning Centre on Thursday, December 1, 2005 at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Ceremony on Friday, December 2 2005 at 10:00 a.m., elders officiating.
