Obituary of Andrew Henderson Middleton

MIDDLETON - On Monday December 5, 2005 surrounded by his loving family, Andrew Henderson Middleton passed away peacefully. Predeceased by his father Dr. George Middleton and his mother Janita Henderson, Andrew is survived by his best friend and beloved wife Pat, son Rob and wife Zak, grandchildren Jazz and Thea all of Hong Kong, daughter Catherine and granddaughter Callum of Toronto, and daughter Louise and husband Tom Cox of Calgary. Andrew is also survived by his brother Jonathan, Cromarty, Scotland, sisters Jean of Felton, England and Mary of Toronto, as well as brother-in-law Ken Bain and sister-in-law Florrie Dickson of Milton and Whitby, Ontario respectively, and numerous family members around the globe. Andrew was born in Cromarty, Scotland and educated at Gordonstoun, and Dollar Academy. He pursued a career in Agriculture with May & Baker, Dagenham, England, which eventually brought him to Canada. He was an elder of First Presbyterian Church and a member of Wascana Lodge. Andrew was a true gentleman. He was kind and thoughtful, brave and courageous to the end. Andrew will be sadly missed by all his friends and family. The Family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Aboo, Dr. Lourens Blignaut, Dr. Robert Cameron and Dr. Lawrence Clein, for their care and compassion. We are grateful for all of the "Nursing Angels at the Allen Blair Cancer Clinic and Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care, for comforting Andrew with heartfelt kindness and respect of his dignity. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 9th at 2:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Albert and 14th Avenue with Rev. Jean Morris and Rev. Eric Muirhead officiating. In lieu of flowers, friends so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to the Palliative Care Unit at the Pasqua Hospital or to the Regina Symphony Orchestra.
