Obituary of Elizabeth Exner

ELIZABETH EXNER Elizabeth Betty? passed away peacefully on March 5, 2012 at the age of 88 years. She was a resident of Parkside Extendicare in Regina. Betty was predeceased by her husband Rudy; daughters, Sharon Younghusband and Kathleen Pielak; parents, Gertrude and Ferdinand Dean; sisters, Helen Smith, Anne Kesslering and Mary MacEwan She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Judy Exner, Valerie (Roger) Metail, Rita (Don) McCormick, Patricia (Nick) Loffler; sons, Vern (Cheryl) and Kevin (Karen); brothers, Norman Dean and John Dean; grandchildren, great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Betty will be remembered as a wonderful person who enjoyed cooking and caring for her family. As a stay at home mom, she worked tirelessly to care for Rudy and her eight children, always ensuring a spotless home and a table filled with wonderful meals that were shared by anyone who happened to drop by. Her baking was a special treat which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Betty was an expert in home repair and often was found fixing everything from sump pumps to rewiring dryers. She loved card nights with Rudy and their friends, as well as summer family vacations at Melville Beach. Betty was dedicated to the Catholic Church, attending daily and often lead in the saying of the rosary in addition to being an active member of the Catholic Womens League. The family would like to thank the staff at Parkside Extendicare for their care and support while she was a resident. Prayers will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Little Flower R.C.
