Obituary of Margaret Florence Paulson
PAULSON, Margaret - December 7, 2005 at the age of 96 years, Margaret Florence Paulson was called home to be with her Lord and Savior. Margaret was born March 9, 1909 to Anne and Alexander McDougall in Pilot Mound, Manitoba. Predeceased by her parents, her dear husband Ted, her brother Will, sisters Ruth (Ed Ireton), Jessie McDougall and Ina (Russ Ryalls). Survived by her daughter Betty (Bob Biery) of Pittsburgh, her Japanese family, Kazuko and Shoshi Mizoguchi, Kimiko Kawasaki, Mrs. Ikeda in Japan, and sister-in-law Mary (Ken Scott) of Wetaskiwin, AB. She is also survived by many close nieces and nephews and their families. Margaret moved to Gypsumville, Man. at the age of 3, then to Stoughton as a teenager. After high school she worked in Regina for 11 years at the Bank of Montreal. She later attended Three Hills Bible School where she met her future husband Ted. After Bible School she went up north by dog sled to teach school for a year, returning to work at Two Rivers Bible Institute for 2 years. There she married Ted and in 1948 they began their life long careers as missionaries, first teaching at the Atlantic Bible Institute, then in 1952 being posted in Japan where they served as missionaries with World Missions to Children. After ten wonderful years in Japan they moved to Grants Pass, Oregon where Ted was Director of World Missions to Children for 17 years. They retired to Kelowna and then Wetaskiwin. On the death of her husband, Marg returned to Stoughton to spend time with her eldest Sister Ina. Then moving to First Baptist Place in Regina for her final years. Margaret was a life long witness for the Lord, touching many lives. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday @ 2:00 p.m. December 13, 2005 at First Presbyterian Church, 14th Avenue and Albert Street, Regina. Rev. Eric Muirhead and Pastor Henry Friesen officiating.
