Obituary of Gloria Eileen Chuka

CHUKA, Gloria passed away December 22, 2005 peacefully with her family at her side at the age of 73. Predeceased by her parents, Nina Topel and John Storlee, husband Alec, she is survived by her daughter Debra (Miguel) Joyal; her son Randy (Darlene) Chuka; grandson Alexandr Joyal; step-grandsons, Kyle Owen and James (Sheri) Owen (children John and Carson); step-children, Duane (Marilyn) Chuka and Sharon Chuka; special friend, Tony Eckert; sisters, Doreen (Ernie) Ingram, Shirley (Isadore) Volk, Darlene Babiarz; brother, Marville (Sharon Dennis) Storlee; her only cousin and dearest friend Bonnie Donison; special nieces, Sandy Arneson, Jackie Carr, Cyndi Babiarz and Tana Toffan; as well as other numerous nieces and nephews. Gloria attended McCoy School and Milestone School. She worked at McGavins Bakery until her marriage to Alec in 1953, when she stayed at home to care for her children and help out with Alecs business ventures. She was a devoted mother, a special aunt and loyal friend. She will be dearly missed. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina with Don Peck officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
