Obituary of Rory James Riggle

RORY JAMES RIGGLE JANUARY 17, 1957 - DECEMBER 22, 2005 Rory was predeceased by his mother Christine in 1970, his father Dr. Homer Riggle in 1980 and an infant sister. Also predeceased by his father-in-law Gordon Irvine in 2001 and brother-in-law Garth Barber in 1996. He is survived by his beloved wife Terry of Edmonton, children Adam (special friend Jessie) and Brandon (special friend Kelley) of Milestone, SK and Sheena of Edmonton; sister Maida (Larry) Daughtrey and their children Ashley, Travis and Maverick, all of Boynton Beach, FL. Also survived by his mother-in-law Irene Irvine and brother-in-law Doug Irvine of Regina; sister-in-law Janice (Johnny) Yarshenko and their son Ryan, all of Craven, SK. He is also remembered by special aunt (Moms twin) Nadene Osgood of Lake Worth, FL and by his Uncle Ralph (Erma Jean) Carle of Pahrump, NV; special cousins Mark and Wanda Osgood of Colorado, Marcia and John Amshoff and (Snickers the dog), Roaming, USA, Don and Kathy Carle of Cedar City, UT. Rory was born in West Palm Beach, FL and moved to Milestone, SK in 1970. He graduated from Milestone High School in 1975 and started his career at Molsons in 1976 in Regina, SK. In 2002 he was transferred to Molsons in Edmonton, AB. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his dad and later with his boys. He devoted many hours to the BPO Elks having joined the Milestone Lodge in 1975, serving as Exalted Ruler and Secretary. He was elected Provincial President of the Elks Provincial Association in 1995 and served on many committees in both the Association and the Grand Lodge of the Elks of Canada. He was a member of the Milestone Volunteer Fire Department for twenty years and served as a town councilor for three years. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina with Rev. Fred Salerno officiating. Cremation. A private family interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saskatchewan Elks Foundation, #508 - 12th Street E., Saskatoon, SK S7N 0H2.
