Obituary of Mary Ellen Foster

FOSTER, Mary - in her 90th year passed away peacefully at the Lorreto House in Regina on December 24, 2005. A resident of Pilot Butte and Regina, one of three daughters of pioneers Cambridge and Margaret Martin, Mary was a proud native of Saskatchewan, a province she and her husband Frederick (Red) loved and never left. She is dearly missed by her sons Patrick and spouse Laura (Mississauga), Ian (Sandy) and spouse Claire (Winnipeg); grandson Myles (Calgary) and granddaughter Daygen Finch (Edmonton), nephews Marty and Faye Daborn, Robbie and Jackie Daborn (Regina/Grey) and family cousin Terry Field and wife Bonnie (Regina) as well as many friends. Thanks to Jan Winton for her friendship and loving support to Mary. Also the family deeply appreciates the wonderful care and compassion provided to Mary by Dr. Stewart McMillan, Marys family physician, and the staff of Loretto House. Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Marys wishes an intimate memorial reception will be announced in the New Year. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Condolences may be sent to Ian Foster, 83 Deering Close, Winnipeg R2K 4K6 or patfoster@sympatico.ca
