Obituary of Yvette Marie Scheibel

SCHEIBEL, Yvette Marie on January 4, 2006, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, after a valiant 10 year battle with cancer. Predeceased by her mother and father, Rita and David Toupin, Yvette is survived by her husband; Eugene, and sons; Stephen (Jacquie) and Gregory (Petra), brothers; Marcel and Larry (Marsha), sisters; Lucille (Gordon) Balfour, Julliette (Daniel) Beugelmans, brothers-in-law; Leonard (Jean) Scheibel, Gerald (Norah) Scheibel, sister-in-law; Marilyn Naylen (Gerald) and numerous nieces and nephews. Giving of herself to others was how her life was defined. Always ready to donate her time to numerous important charities. In her typical selfless style and desire to help others, Yvette spent years learning the art of Tai Chi - for the purpose of teaching it to patients with MS in order to help them gain balance, and stability in their limbs. Her many good deeds were always done with a smile in spite of her own problems with Cancer. She was brave and courageous to the end, never complaining of her illness. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. We would like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to all the doctors and nurses in the Allan Blair Cancer Centre, 3B/Oncology, Ambulatory Care, and Palliative Care for the kind, gentle, loving, compassionate and professional care provided to Yvette. We would also like to express our special thanks to Dr. Vuksic, Dr. McMeekin-Down, Dr. McMillan and Dr.Clien. A very special thanks to Dr. Rayson whose professional and dedicated loving care over the past 10 year period allowed Yvette to live her life to the fullest. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Yvettes life will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, January 9, 2006, at Christ the King Church, 3239 Garnet Street, Regina, Saskatchewan. Flowers are most gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation, in memoriam to the Allan Blair Cancer Center or the Palliative Care Unit, Pasqua Hospital, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, Saskatchewan, S4T 7T1 or to a charity of their choice.
