Obituary of Marion Emily Montague

MONTAGUE - Marion Emily Lenore "Cookie, passed away on January 6, 2006 at the age 79 years. Predeceased by her beloved "Monty (Albert Cyril "Sul) on September 29, 2005, and her parents Leonard and Frances Cook of Yorkton, SK. Marion is survived by her daughter Gail Montague and granddaughter Nicolle of Regina; son Terry, daughter-in-law Germaine and grandson Caley of Moncton, New Brunswick; brother Don and Betty Cook of Emerson, MB; and several nieces and nephews. Marion was born east of Yorkton, in Rokeby, SK. She married Monty in Yorkton in 1946 and moved to Regina. Together, they built their first house in Regina and a cabin at Echo Lake. She was active in CNRA and St. Peters Anglican Church. With Monty, she enjoyed attending many social functions of King Hiram Masonic Lodge. Marion loved dancing, roller-skating, sing-a-longs and baking. She will be fondly remembered by friends and family as being as sweet natured as her nickname "Cookie. Donations may be made to the Saskatchewan Parkinson Disease Foundation, Box 102, 103 Hospital Drive, Saskatoon, SK, S7N 0W8. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 21 at 1:30 p.m. at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, with Rev. Donald E. L. Wells officiating.
