Obituary of Gertrude Eileen Morrison
MORRISON - Eileen Gertrude Morrison passed away peacefully on January 13, 2006. Beloved wife of the late Lyle J. Morrison. Eileen is survived by her sister Jean (Bill Becker) of Ottawa, daughter Beverley Donbrook (Brian), son Allan Morrison (Barbara). Adored and loved grandmother of Douglas Donbrook (Andra); Christine (Carlo Binda); Laura, Sarah, Daphne Morrison: Great Grandmother of Catherine, Carson and Brodan. Eileen was born in Toronto on May; 13, 1917 and left the big city as a bride in the early nineteen forties with husband Lyle in search of opportunity and a new life in Regina. Her heart was quickly won over to the wonderful and spirited people of the west. Eileen was active with Lyle in his optical business ventures. Eileen and Lyle both enjoyed their involvement in Kinsmen and later with Shriners where many lasting friendships were made. She had been an avid golfer and was a feisty bridge player. Eileen leaves a lasting memory of determination, courage and spirit and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers and in Eileens memory donations to the Wa Wa Shrine Patient Transportation Fund, 2065 Hamilton Street, Regina, S4P 2E1, would be greatly appreciated.
