Obituary of Olga Legare

LEGARE - On Monday, January 16, 2006 Olga Legare, late of William Booth Special Care Home, passed away at the age of 99 years. Predeceased by her husband, Edward; her parents, Samen and Anathasia Soroka; sister, Mary; brothers, Phil, Mike and Paul. Olga is survived by her daughter Esther (Dale) Howe; grandchildren: Todd (Laurie) Howe and great-granddaughters, Cara and Amber Howe; Sherri (Rod) McLean and great-grandsons, Tyler and Carter McLean; as well as many special nieces and nephews. Olga came to Canada from the Ukraine in 1906 and homesteaded in Krydor, SK. She later moved to Saskatoon where she met her husband. They lived there until 1988 when they moved to Regina. In 1990 they moved to William Booth Special Care Home where they enjoyed the latter years of their life. Her greatest loves were her family and always looked forward to family gatherings, as these were very special to her. The family wishes to thank all the special friends at William Booth for their loving care of Olga over the past 15 years. Prayers will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 20, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. in St. Peters R. C. Church, 100 Argyle Street, Regina with Rev. A. A. Vandendriessche presiding. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers gratefully declined. Friends so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to the William Booth Special Care Home, 50 Angus Road, Regina S4R 8P6.
