Obituary of Jolan Lidia Bauer

BAUER - Our wonderful, sweet mother and grandmother, Joln, passed away January 20, 2006, to be wrapped in the everlasting arms of God. Jolns life journey began in Csny, Hungary, an only child to her beloved parents, Joseph and Etel. She was predeceased by her parents in 1977 and 1978, and by her loving husband, Steve, in 1979. She was heart-broken, but rebounded with strength and courage, an inspiration to all. She devoted her time to her precious pets, traveling, gardening, and cooking, but her greatest joy was her family here and in Hungary. Joln leaves a huge void in the hearts of her daughters and son, Joli, Tundi (Randy) and Steve, (Egistina) and her grandchildren, Steven (fiance Lorena), Cam (Jen) and Erika, Michael (Christine), Christina, Lisa (Dave), great granddaughter Maria. Jolns nurturing, caring and loving extended beyond the nucleus of her family and she always welcomed visitors at home and in the last months, at the hospital, with her radiant smile and genuine warmth. Thank you to Dr. Bohn and the nursing staffs in ICU and 3D at the Pasqua Hospital, and Sr. Audrey, Chaplain, for their support and care of Joln, and friends for their visits, cards and flowers. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Martins R. C. Church, 4720 Castle Road, Regina, Wednesday, January 25th at 11:00 a.m. with Very Rev. Ken Miller presiding. A private family interment will take place following the Mass at Riverside Memorial Park. If family and friends so desire, contributions to the Regina Humane Society, World Wildlife Fund, or your favourite charity may be made as tokens of remembrance. We are thankful and proud of our wonderful mother and grandmother, and will cherish forever the legacy of the beautiful memories she left. Thank you, Mom, for filling our years with love and care!
