Predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Josephine Limacher; one sister, Ann Goettle; four brothers: Anthony in infancy, Joseph, Herman and Albert; and one grandson, Michael Maddigan, Madeline is survived by her loving husband Joseph; five sons: Jim (Shirley) of Calgary, Michael (Cathy), Robert (Linda), Daniel (Debbie) and David, all of Regina; three daughters: Kathy (Joe) Keller of Regina, Barbara (Rob) Dalke of Whitecourt, Alberta and Patty (Rejean) Longtin of Morrisberg, Ontario; five sisters: Mary Polisak, Ontario, Matilda Limacher, Regina; Hildegarde Limacher, Toronto, Angela (Bob) Gillette, Florida and Margaret Limacher, Toronto; two brothers: John (Florence), Calgary and Bernard (Betty), Moose Jaw; sixteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Madeline was born on a homestead in the Expanse area and moved with her family in 1926 to what became the family farm near Mazenod, Saskatchewan. After her marriage, she lived in Hamilton, Ontario but returned to Mazenod with her eldest son to await the return of her husband from the war. She spent the rest of her life in Regina as a homemaker raising her family and exploring her passions for gardening, wood finishing and needlework. We will miss Mom deeply. Her words of advice, encouragement, understanding and support have helped and guided each of us over the years. A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. in Canadian Martyrs R.C. Church, 1932 - 1st Avenue North, Regina with Rev. Peter Nwanekezie presiding. Our thanks are sent to Dr. Logan, the staff of the Regina QuAppelle District Palliative Care Services and especially to the staff and volunteers at the Regina Wascana Grace Hospice for their caring support. In lieu of flowers, friends so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to the Regina Palliative Care Inc., 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, S4T 1A5.
