Obituary of Joseph Mills Ruddell

RUDDELL - Joseph Mills of Regina, formerly of Milestone, passed away at the age of 88 on Friday, January 20, 2006 at William Booth Special Care Home, Regina, SK. He was predeceased by his first wife Jean and grandson Bruce Manley. Joe is survived by his loving wife Evalyn, daughters Myrna (Gary) Manley, Sandra (Garth) Graham-Rowe, Connie (Kim) Rissling, and son Joe (Barb) Ruddell, thirteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a special brother-in-law Marlyn (Dorothy) Thordarson. Joe was a WWII overseas veteran and an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He served on the Milestone United Church, Credit Union, Donors Choice and Homecare Boards for many years. After nearly 40 years of teaching, Joe retired as Principal from Milestone High School in 1976. Joe will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Thanks to Dr. Bester, and the staff of William Booth and Loretto House for their care and compassion. The Memorial Service will be held at Milestone United Church, Milestone, SK, Friday, January 27, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Kevin Johnston officiating. Interment in Milestone Cemetery.
