Obituary of Florence Maxine Laidlaw

LAIDLAW - Florence Maxine Laidlaw, thankfully died at home on Friday, January 27, 2006 in her 93rd year. Maxine was preceded by her parents John and Pearl (Campbell) Laidlaw, her brother and sister-in-law John Campbell and Mary Campbell (Lyon) Laidlaw. She will be missed by her nieces and their families, Sandra (John) Barker of Meaford, ON and Susan (Keith) Mitchell of Kapuskasing, ON. Maxine pursued and enjoyed a long teaching career in Saskatchewan schools for over 45 years. A teacher to the end, she enriched the lives of her young friends, Crystal and Megan. She was blessed with the gifts and graces of good parents, an extended warm family, and a circle of friends and colleagues. As the years came upon her, she felt the strength and support of her younger neighbours, cousins, friends, and nieces. Death comes as a friend. Now rest and be thankful. At Maxines request (no, instructions!) there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will take place in Rosetown Cemetery at a later date.
