Obituary of Steve Peslari

On Tuesday, May 21, 2013, Steve Peslari passed away suddenly at the age of 75 years surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his wife Gloria; parents Constantine and Eugenia; four siblings in infancy; and his brother John, Steve is survived by his children George (Jennifer) Peslari; Jean (Tom) Jacobs; Teresa (Todd) Blommaert; grandchildren Gabriel, Jonah and Elijah Peslari; Nicole, Stephanie, Danielle and Emily Jacobs; Sutton and Vaughn Blommaert. He is also survived by his siblings Helen, Georgina, Mary, and George. Steve was born in Avonlea, SK on the family farm. He moved to Regina at the age of 20 and lived with his brothers. A mutual friend introduced Steve to his soul mate, Gloria, and they were married shortly after. Steve began his career driving truck for Gordon Bell, this led to a long career in carpentry and building houses. He took great pride in the details of his home building. In his later years Steve enjoyed helping his children until his health deteriorated. He enjoyed antique cars, collecting watches, and finding a good deal. Steve enjoyed spending time with his family and was very proud of his grandchildren. His family will miss his sense of humour, mischievous smile, and his stubbornness. A special thank you to those who cared for Dad at the Regina Lutheran Home, Dr. Hanson, the nurses at Pasqua ER, and Dr. Lotz. Funeral Service will be held at St. George Orthodox Cathedral, 2005 Edgar Street, Regina, SK on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Cosmin Sicoe officiating, followed by interment at Riverside Memorial Park.
