Obituary of Malcolm John Morrison

MALCOLM J. (Mac) MORRISON November 25, 1919 - March 16, 2012 Malcolm passed away peacefully on Friday, March 16, 2012 at the age of ninety-two. He was predeceased by his parents; John and Annie; his eight siblings; his loving wife Grace, and son Michael. He is survived by his children; Randall (Vickie Ann), Jan (Larry), Marian (Hemi), Don (Norine), Margaret (Darrell) and Lora (Brian). He is also survived by his grandchildren; David (Coral), Nathan, Cameron (Martina), Jay, Bronwyn (Justin), Matthew, Gillian, Jason, Donnelyn, Kieran; and great-grandchildren, Nigel, Evangelene, and Jace; sister-in-law Eva Morrison; and numerous nieces and nephews. Malcolm was born in Whitewood, SK. After completing his education he proudly served his country overseas for five and a half years with the Canadian Corps Headquarters during WWII. After his military service, Malcolm enjoyed a distinguished career with the Department of Veterans Affairs for thirty-six years. He was a caring and compassionate advocate for all veterans. After retirement, Mac enjoyed spending time with his family, travelling, telling stories and cheering on the Riders. Recently Malcolm completed a book co-authored by his daughter, Margaret, capturing his life as a Prairie Soldier. He was proud to march with his fellow soldiers each Remembrance Day, including this past November. Above all, Dad was a generous and kind hearted gentleman to everyone he met and we are really going to miss him. A Funeral Mass and Celebration of Malcolms Life will be held at Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, 2029 Scarth St, Regina, SK on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place on Friday, March 23, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Riverside Memorial Park, Regina.
