Obituary of Marie Montan

MONTAN - It is with great sadness that the family of Marie Montan (nee Skwarok) announces her passing at the age of 65 years on Tuesday, February 21, 2006. Marie was born on August 11, 1940 in Wood Hill, SK to Anton and Helen Skwarok. She loved to write poetry, read her prayer books, volunteer at Holy Rosary Cathedral, and, most of all, spend time with her granddaughter, Kaelyn. She is also survived by her much-loved daughter, Colleen, her son-in-law, Paul; four brothers, Peter, Mike, Joe and Nick; three sisters, Emily Birban, Josie Prytula and Kaye Matusko; one brother-in-law, Gus Seniuk; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Wes; four sisters, Ann Schwartz, Polly Prytula, Fylis Seniuk, and Julie Skwarok; five brothers-in-law, Nick Prytula, Tom Prytula, Steve Birban, Ron Schwartz, and Larry Matusko. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Prayers will be held Sunday, February 26, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 27 at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Rosary R. C. Cathedral, 3125 - 13th Avenue, Regina, with Rev. Louis Kubash presiding. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
