Obituary of Lorenz Kaufmann

KAUFMANN, LORENZ - passed away peacefully on February 28, 2006 at Wascana Rehab Centre at age 91. Predeceased by his parents, Johann and Maria; first wife, Kathe in 1975; daughter, Irmgard in 1945; brothers, John and Nick; sisters, Eva, Theresa and Katie. Lorenz will be sadly missed by his caring wife and best friend, Stella (Klisowsky) of 30 years; daughters, Gertrud and Toni, Germany; Elizabeth (Betty) and Ken; Stellas children, Marleen and Percy, Al and Darlene, Elvina; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives. Stella and family wish to thank the entire staff of Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, Units 3-3 and 2-6. The staff provided excellent care and comfort and made Lorenz feel at home. Prayers will be held on Friday, March 3, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Child Parish, 2636 - 7th Avenue East, Regina with Rev. John Weckend presiding. In lieu of flowers donations may be made, in memoriam, to the Hospitals of Regina Foundation for Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, Unit 3-3, Long Term Care, 225 - 1874 Scarth Street, Regina S4P 4B3.
