Obituary of Gerald Thomas George

GEORGE, GERRY Gerry passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at home on March 9, 2006, due to complications resulting from west nile virus. Predeceased by his parents, Tommy and Belle, he is lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Rene; his three children, Lynne Sprentz (Rick), Cal George (Deanna Barlow), Todd George (Jill Rehman); his precious granddaughter, Vanessa Sprentz, affectionately referred to as 'snicklefritz'; his sister Bonnie Banting (Chris); niece, Mary Parnetta (Michael), their daughter Emma Belle, and nephew Michael Banting. Gerry enjoyed jazz music, his special times in Maui with Rene, fishing with his buddies, and most importantly, spending time with his family. At Gerry's request, there will be no service. Arrangements for a casual reception, to be held in his honour for family and friends, will be announced at a later time.
