Anderson - James Stewart June 28, 1926 - March 16, 2006
Passed away in the Grey Nuns Hospital, Edmonton. Born in Deloraine, Manitoba to Roderick and Helen Anderson. Educated at, St. Pauls College Winnipeg and graduated from the University Manitoba in 1955 with a BSc (CE). Predeceased by his parents; brothers, George and Rod; nephew, Rick Anderson; niece, Jennifer Marche. Survived by his loving wife of 53 years Edith, daughter Carol (Marvin) Mullaney, grandchildren Meara & Mason of Regina. Son Don (Adonica) Anderson of Vancouver. Sister June Clarke of Winnipeg. Niece Sharalyn (Errol) McComb of Winnipeg. Nephew David & Faye Clarke of Minneapolis. Niece Marlene (George) Lombaert, Brandon. On graduation Jim worked as an Engineer in Winnipeg and was transferred a year later to open an office in Regina. In 1971 he started his own Company - Canada Caisson Company in Regina, Edmonton and Calgary until 1989. Since that time Jim has been working at various jobs as a Consulting Engineer. During the war he was trained as a Paratrooper, but the war was over before he could be sent overseas. Jim was a well read, warm, vibrant, intelligent and fun loving person, enjoyed a joke and was generous to a fault. A founding member of All Saints Anglican Church, Regina. Also a member of the Wa Wa Shrine (Flag Corps), as well as a member of the Professional Engineers Association of Saskatchewan and Alberta. A 50 year member of the Health Club of the YMCA. Memorial service will be held at All Saints Anglican Church, 142 Massey Road at 11:00 AM Wednesday March 22, 2006, with interment of ashes in the Columbarium of St. Pauls Cathedral, McIntyre and 12th Avenue. Speers Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers friends so wishing to may make a memorial donation to All Saints Anglican Church or to the Salvation Army.
