Obituary of Donald Forbes Meldrum

MELDRUM, DONALD FORBES beloved son of Catherine and the late Douglas Meldrum, passed away on the 20th of March, 2006 at the Pasqua Hospital at the age of 44 after a courageous battle with cancer. Left to mourn are his sisters Moira (John Murphy), Sheila (Rod McKendrick); his nephews Paul and Jed Murphy, Douglas McKendrick; his niece Catherine Murphy; and his extended family at the Saskatoon Police Service. Born in Scotland and educated at Port Glasgow High School and Glasgow University, after completing his education emigrated to Canada in 1981. He retired from the Saskatoon Police when his illness was diagnosed having served for 22 years. He was an enthusiast about all forms of sport and enjoyed playing soccer and golf and was an avid reader. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 24, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina.
