Obituary of George Hurn

HURN - On Saturday, March 25, 2006 George Hurn died peacefully at the Pasqua Hospital at the age of 79 years. George emigrated to Canada from Aberdeen, Scotland in 1957 with his wife Lydia and infant daughter Morag. Geordie was founding member of the Wa Wa Shrine Pipes and Drums. He enjoyed his pipes and the Shrine competitions. Geordie was predeceased by Lydia, his wife and love, and infant granddaughter Mary. He is survived by his daughter Morag (Heath) Armbruster, granddaughter Chelsea Hurn and grandson Ross Hurn; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2006 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 31, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina.
