Obituary of Kathleen Coliss Redick-Pearson

REDICK-PEARSON, Kathleen (Kay) - Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 29th, 2006 at the age of 84 years. She leaves behind an extended family, deeply saddened by her loss but heartened by the warmth and strength of the bonds she nurtured. Kay was deeply committed to her family, to the farm, and to her community. Kay is survived by her three daughters; Sharon Gibbs (Wayne), Gail (Roger) Surkan, and Brenda (Jeff) Best; her grandchildren; Jessica Gibbs, Alison (Steve) Taylor, Lindsay Surkan, Kristen Surkan, Reid Surkan, Jeff Best Jr., and Kaylyn Best; her great-grandchildren; Jack Taylor and Silvia Taylor; her step-children; George (Lynne) Pearson, Betty Ann (Clint) Deobald, and Ron (Mary-Ellen) Pearson; her step-grandchildren; Tanya (Chris) Flood, Robert Pearson, Michael (Leanne) Deobald, Raymond Deobald, Katherine Deobald, Jennifer Pearson, Thomas Pearson and Daniel Pearson; her step-great-grandchild Rowen Flood; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her first husband Lindsay Redick; second husband Gilbert Pearson; sisters Mary Kulach and Joyce David; brothers Ernest Beckstead and Irvin Beckstead; and parents Samanthia and George. A Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, on Saturday, April 1, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. The family deeply appreciates the loving care given to Kay by the staff of Parkview Lodge and the Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Saskatchewan Division, 150 Albert Street, Regina SK, S4R 2N2.
