Obituary of Elizabeth Johanna Sawatsky

SAWATSKY, Elizabeth (Scherle) at the age of 89 years passed away peacefully at the Regina General Hospital on March 29, 2006 at 3:00 a.m. Betty was predeceased by her husband Ed and her son Doug. Gran will be dearly missed by her son Harold and his wife Bev of Buena Vista, Sk, daughter-in-law Sharon Roulston of Edmonton, five grandchildren: Shaun Sawatsky, Bree Giannetta (Mike), and Chris Sawatsky of Regina, Michelle Mahan (Sean) of Toronto, and Cameron (Cheryl) of Edmonton. She was also blessed by three beautiful great-granddaughters: Sophie Mahan, Abigail Giannetta and Jamie Sawatsky and a great grandson, Michael Sawatsky. Gran was cheerful throughout her life, and always had a quick smile or cute giggle. She was always polite and full of thank yous, even at the most difficult times. Everything to Gran was "beautiful, from flowers in the garden, to a bowl of pudding. She was a wonderful and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 3, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
