Obituary of Sylvia Theresa Tessier

TESSIER - Sylvia Theresa (nee LaCoste), born May 6, 1934, passed away from a lengthy illness at the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre in Regina on March 30, 2006. Left to mourn is her husband of 53 years, Philippe of Gladmar; sons, Duane (Susan) of Gladmar, Neal (Joan) of Kindersley, Brian (Marilyn) of Gladmar, Hartley (Cathy) of Weyburn; grandchildren, Leah (Chris) Petersen, Colin (Kyla) Tessier, Paul, Nicole, Sam (Sarah), Ryan, Danielle (Brett Park), Michelle, Devin, Sheena; three great-grandchildren, Ethan and Reese Petersen, and Ryder Tessier. She was predeceased by her parents, Emile and Delphine; step-mother Elizabeth; brothers Harold and Alphonze. She is also survived by brothers and sisters, Roland (Mary) LaCoste, Duane (Jean) LaCoste, Carole Ejack (Bill), Linda (Len) Folden, Olivia (Ralph) Fry, Lucille (Jerome) Renneburg, Gerard LaCoste, Gaston (Cathy) LaCoste, Jim (Shannon) LaCoste, Gisele (Larry) Petterson, and Marcel (Korena) LaCoste; as well as numerous sisters and brothers-in-law and nieces and nephews. She is also survived by aunts Irene Lee of Trail, BC and Marlene Watland of Lake Havesu City, U.S.A. and an uncle Larry LaCoste of Wabamum, AB. Sylvias family will remember her smile, infectious laughter, and her amazing patience. They also wish to express tremendous gratitude to the staff of Wascana Rehab Centre who cared for Sylvia over the past 42 years. A special thanks to the nurses, doctors and all support staff on Main 6 for their compassion over the past few weeks. You were a part of Grandmas family too! Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 3, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the Wascana Rehab Centre Chapel, 2180 - 23rd Avenue with Friar Dominic Tessier officiating.
