Obituary of Maria Mackiw

MACKIW - Maria Mackiw, born in Odessa, Ukraine on December 3, 1922, passed away peacefully at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, Regina at the age of 83 years. Predeceased by her husband, Michel and daughter, Anita. She is survived by her two daughters, Lucette and Irene; grandchildren, Tanisha and Reina, Danny and Danielle; and five great-grandchildren. Maria loved her gardens at her home and cottage at Spring Bay. It gave her great pleasure to share her flowers, vegetables and horticultural knowledge with friends, neighbours and family. Requiem (Panachyda) will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in Descent of the Holy Spirit Ukrainian Orthodox Sobor, 1305 - 12th Avenue. Funeral Rite will be held on Monday, April 17, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in Descent of the Holy Spirit Ukrainian Orthodox Sobor, 1305 - 12th Avenue, Regina with Rev. Brent Kuzyk presiding.
