Obituary of Henriette Hedwig Dobson

DOBSON - Henrietta (Hattie) Dobson, age 101 years passed away peacefully on Friday, April 14, 2006 after enjoying a long, happy and healthy life. Predeceased by her husband Gordon Dobson; her eldest son, Lorne Dobson; and thirteen brothers and sisters, she is survived by her twin sons, Don (Evelyn) Dobson of Regina, and Roy (Chris) Dobson of Alice Beach, SK; daughter-in-law Euthel Dobson of Keremeos, BC; four grandchildren: Blaine (Sheila) Dobson of Sutton, ON; Melody (Tom) Jameson of Regina, SK; Terry (Joel) Dobson of Regina, and Harmony (Ken) Szukaylo of Saskatoon, SK; eight great grandchildren: Kevin, Kaelynne, Benjamin, Isaac, Elisabeth, Kaylee, Kyle and Zachary; numerous nieces and nephews. Henrietta was born in 1904 in Disley, N.W.T. She met and married Gordon Dobson in 1928 and they shared 70 years together. They raised their family in Disley and moved to Regina in 1969. She enjoyed curling and was Kevin Martins # one fan. One of her proudest accomplishments was raising her premature twins after being told by the Dr. that they wouldnt survive. Many good times were shared with family and friends at their apartment and no one ever left hungry. Thanks to the staff at Parkside Extendicare for their dedication and care. Mom, Grandma and Hattie will be fondly remembered. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 18th at 1:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, with Rev. Bob Gay officiating. Interment in Disley Cemetery at a later date. Flowers most gratefully declined.
