CARRIE SCHWEITZER It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Carrie Schweitzer, at Parkside Extendicare, Regina, on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, two days prior to her 98th birthday. She leaves to mourn her two daughters, Dorothy (Wayne) Johnstone and Judy (Garry) Miller; grandchildren, Scott (Julie) Johnstone and Cathy (Scott) Donald; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Kirstie Johnstone and Camryn and Melissa Donald; as well as nieces and nephews. Carrie was predeceased by her parents; her husband Jake in 1982 and by all seven of her siblings and their spouses. Her life was filled with Gods gift of music from the age of twelve. Carrie began by playing the pump organ at Trinity Lutheran Church in Neudorf, SK. Throughout her life she entertained by playing the piano, organ and accordion at the various communities in which they lived. After retirement, Carrie and Jake moved to Regina, where her passion for music continued at Grace Lutheran Church, Regina Senior Citizens Centre and many seniors homes including Parkside, where she resided for the past three years. The Funeral Service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 1037 Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Jeremy Swem presiding.
