George loved his family and faith unconditionally. For George, it was always important to keep his heritage, culture and family traditions alive and he devoted endless efforts toward preserving all that was important to him. His work was very rewarding to him as a Professional Civil Engineer. He had a long, fulfilling career with the City of Regina, Engineering Department for over 40 years, before retiring in the mid 1980s. His kind heart and sense of humor will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. A celebration of Georges life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25th, 2006 at St. George Orthodox Cathedral, 2005 Edgar St., Regina. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. If I should ever leave you Whom I love To go along the silent way Grieve not. Nor speak of me with tears. But laugh and talk of me As if I were beside you there. And when you hear a song Or see a bird I loved Please do not let the thought of me Be sad For I am loving you Just as l always have. You were all so good to me There were still so many things I wanted to do So many things I wanted to say Remember that I did not fear It was just leaving you That was hard to face. We cannot see beyond But this I know I loved you so It was heaven here with you. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you for the loving care and compassion shown by the wonderful nursing staff at Santa Maria. Their kindness through this very difficult time will never be forgotten.
