Obituary of Jean Mary Butler
BUTLER - Jean Mary, born on October 19, 1937 at Brandon, Manitoba, passed away suddenly of a heart attack April 23, 2006. Left to mourn her passing and to cherish her memory forever are her loving husband of 45 years, Gerald (Jerry) and her three beloved children, Michael John, April Joanne and Brenda Lee; her cherished grandchildren, Sasha, Dillan and Shantell. Waiting to greet her at Heavens Gate, are her parents Mary and John Kurchak and her brother Jack. Jean loved her family, her work with the airlines, jewellery sales, her volunteer work with the MacKenzie Art Gallery, and Girl Guides. A great passion of hers was spending countless hours in her back yard with the birds and flowers. The cottage at Last Mountain Lake was also a great source of enjoyment.
DO NOT WEEP
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumns rain,
When you awaken in the mornings hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there. I did not die.
Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 28, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue. Flowers gratefully declined. Friends so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to the charity of their choice.
