Obituary of Denis Austin Lunde

DENIS AUSTIN LUNDE Denis, late of Corinne, SK passed away on February 29, 2012 following a short illness at age 79. Denis was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Milred Lunde; his wife Donalda; sister Gloria (Bob) Lucas and his brother Douglas. He is survived by his three sons: Don (Lisa Bjornson) of Calgary, AB, Dean, (Arla) of Sylvan Lake, AB, Duane (Lorilei) of Regina, SK and six grandchildren: Karyn, Brendan, Katherine, Rylea, Emory and Taylor, his brother Ron (Irene) Lunde, Regina, sister-in-laws Karen Lunde, Milestone, Helen Francis, Calgary, AB, Lorraine (Darryl) Cox, Midale, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Denis was born on his grandfather Goldie Andersons homestead, on February 20, 1933. He received his education at Sidney country school, then attended grade 9 by correspondence. In his early days, Denis worked for PFRA, and the Weyburn Co-op. From 1962 until 1970, Denis and his brother Ron operated the Lunde Bros. service station in Corinne. Denis interests included horses, cattle, hunting, and woodworking. Nothing brought more joy to him then a visit from one of his grandchildren. He supported these interests by farming the quarter of land he purchased from his father in 1970 until he retired in 1996, as well as working as a farm/ranch hand for local farmers. Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 3rd at Milestone Alliance Church, Milestone, SK, with Jason Wigmore officiating. Interment at Milestone Cemetery.
