Obituary of Gloria Magdeline Peslari

GLORIA MAGDELINE PESLARI On Thursday, March 29, 2012, Gloria Magdeline Peslari (nee Sauer) passed away at the age of 67 years after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. At her time of passing Gloria was surrounded by her children and grandchildren of whom she treasured. Predeceased by her parents Fred and Ann, Gloria is survived by her husband Steve, her children George (Jennifer) Peslari; Jean (Tom) Jacobs; Teresa (Todd) Blommaert, grandchildren Gabriel and Jonah Peslari; Nicole, Stephanie, Danielle and Emily Jacobs; Sutton and Vaughn Blommaert. Gloria is also survived by her brothers Ron and Leonard Sauer and sister June Sauer. Gloria was born in Regina and moved to Prince George, BC in her teens. She returned after 6 years to Saskatchewan, the place she loved. Gloria met her soul mate Steve on a blind date who she later married, and chose to stay home to raise her family. Gloria loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She selflessly put her children and husband before herself, helping however she could. She enjoyed reading, baking and soap operas. A special thank you to nurses Lela and Ashley and all the staff at General 5E, nurse Cindy and all the staff at Palliative Care and also Abby from Nurse Next Door. Our deepest gratitude to Dr. Aspe Lucero, Dr. Fergusen and Dr. Lotz. Funeral Service will be held at St. Georges Orthodox Church, 2005 Edgar Street, Regina on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
