Obituary of Irene Tkach

TKACH, Irene - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Irene (nee Tymczuk) Tkach at the age of 84, on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at home, with her daughters by her side. Predeceased by her husband, Nickolas in 1972; mother, Anna and younger brother Viktor. Irene is survived by her loving family: daughter Olga (Natalie) and son-in-law David Hick; daughter Mary; and Irenes brother, George in the Ukraine. In life and in death, Irenes devotion to her family will always be foremost. Throughout her life she was known for appreciating and producing things of beauty. Her talents of perfection ranged from designing and decorating Ukrainian Pysynky, to designing and sewing clothes for her children, embroidery, artful treasures, crocheting, painting, gardening, and learning to play the piano at the age of 75. Irenes appreciation of natures beauty was thoroughly expressed in her highly creative and artistic talents. A Divine Liturgy will be held at St. Basils Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1757 Toronto Street, Regina, on Friday, May 12th, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. R. Luzney presiding. Interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers gratefully declined.
