Obituary of Herbert Charles Arscott

ARSCOTT - Herbert (Bert) Charles Arscott (77 years) passed away suddenly in Saskatoon on Saturday, May 20th, 2006. Predeceased by parents Alice and Bill Arscott, brothers Hugh (Ruth) Arscott, sister Audrey (Kenneth) Lewis and his daughter Nancy. Survived by daughters Dana, Joanne, and son Gregory. Bert will be greatly missed by his twin brother Bob (Gesa) Arscott, Regina, nephew Will (Betty Ann) Arscott, Saskatoon, and niece Jane Arscott, Edmonton. Bert was born in Saskatoon, obtained his B. Comm. 1951 at the University of Saskatchewan. His career was with businesses in Regina and Saskatoon. He enjoyed tennis, curling, and golf. He was an excellent speaker and actor appearing in many amateur productions. He was a former member of the Saskatoon Kinsmen Club, enjoyed choral singing in the choirs of Christ Church and St. Pauls Cathedral and the Regina Male Voice Choir. Bert had a few set backs caused by depression, but always recovered with courage and determination. He had a gentle disposition and a great sense of humour. A private memorial service will be held at St. Pauls Cathedral, Regina, with inurnment in the Columbarium. A tree will be planted in Berts memory at Saskatchewan Beach, Last Mountain Lake. The family appreciates the attention of Jack Benett, cousin and Dr. V. Bennett, Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon. Memorials may be made to the Schizophrenia Research Foundation, Box 305, Regina S4P 3A1. Arrangements in care of Speers Funeral Chapel and Crematorium Services, Regina.
