Obituary of Jean Misskey

MISSKEY, Jean - On Saturday, June 10, 2006, Jean Misskey, late of Regina, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 83 at Parkside Extendicare Nursing Home. Predeceased by her parents, Mike and Nettie Kostiuk; grandson, Bradley John Bandas in 1993; and her husband, John Misskey in 1993; brother, Bill Kostiuk; and sister, Freda Irwin. Jean is survived by her daughter, Ruth (Woody) Bandas; son, Bill (Eunice) Misskey; three grandsons, Kelly (Maureen) Bandas, Jonathan and Bennett Misskey; and one great-granddaughter, Amanda Jean Bandas; brothers, Nick Kostiuk, Leon (Nettie) Kostiuk; and sisters, Laura Langmeir, and Gloria (Bill) Krasiun; as well as many nieces and nephews and friends. Jean led a very active life, especially raising Bill and Ruth. She was a homemaker, chef, plumber, electrician, gardener, painter, and carpenter. She was involved with volunteer work, especially with church and its functions. She would never turn her back on anyone that needed help. A Memorial Service will be held for Jean on Thursday, June 15, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina with Rev. Don Koch presiding. "Well miss you Mom!
