Obituary of Lloyd Goudy

Lloyd Goudy Oct. 11, 1929 - May 21, 2013 Lloyd Goudy, late of Regina, passed away on May 21, 2013 at the age of 83 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Damon and Dortha Goudy; siblings David, Marion, and George; his first wife, Frances; son, Russell; daughter, Sussanne; and great granddaughter Angel. Lloyd is survived by his loving wife, Bernice; siblings Emerson; Luella; Catherine; Dorothy; Laura; Julianna; John (Lenora); Myles (Lillian); Lawrence (Fay); and Donald (Marge). He is also survived by his children, Richard (Vikki); Kenneth (Patricia); Sandra (Dan) Neuls; Joseph (Bonnie); Kevin (Laura); Ray (Loretta); Jeanette (Rodney) Gyurek; step-children, Paul Bigalky; Laura Tower; Kevin Bigalky; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Lloyd was born on October 11, 1929. He was the eldest of 14 children, and he grew up in Taylorton near Roche Percee. He worked at M&S mines and at the Estevan Brick plant. In 1952, he married Frances Redwood, and they had nine children. In 1968, they moved to Regina where Lloyd worked at the Pasqua Hospital. He pursued a career in power engineering. Lloyd married Bernice Bigalky in 1981. They spent many happy years together and enjoyed camping and visiting family. He worked at the Pasqua Hospital until his retirement at the age of 65 in 1994. Lloyd’s passion was working on cars. He spent countless hours repairing cars and rebuilding engines. He also really enjoyed his food especially potatoes. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 26 at 1:30 pm in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina with Pastor Andrew Waithe officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers most gratefully declined.
