Obituary of Margaret Szabo

Margaret Szabo (Kish), age 91 years, on Friday, March 30, 2012, passed peacefully and joyfully into the presence of the Lord. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Steve Szabo (2000); her son Allan Szabo (2004); parents Anthony and Julia Kish (Tarr) (Kipling); sister Mattie Uhrich; brothers Tony, Kalman and Geza Kish. Margaret is survived by her loving son, Ken Szabo (Vancouver); four grandchildren; Kathy Szabo, Danny Szabo (Tracey) of Kipling; Julie Szabo (Darren Barefoot) of Argeliers, France; Leah Szabo (Vancouver); sister Lena Sthamann (Regina); great-grandchildren Dustin Rapp, Shalaine Szabo, Sarah Troendle; great-great-grandson Cody Rapp; brothers-in-law Walter Uhrich (Regina); Bill Szabo (Edna) (Nanaimo, BC); sisters-in-law Violet Kish (Edmonton); Lynn Szakacs (Kipling); Grace Szabo (Kipling); numerous nieces and nephews; and long-standing friend, Lil McLean (Regina). Margaret lived a life of quiet service and hospitality to friends, family, neighbors and church community, serving others with a gracious and humble spirit. Her vibrant Christian faith remains an enduring encouragement and example to all who knew her. Well done my good and faithful servant, enter into the Peace of the Lord. Thank you to the staff of Parkside Extendicare south wing for their loving and professional care and to Dr. Warden for his concern and service of many years. A Service of Remembrance and Celebration will be held Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Norman Kennedy Presbyterian Church, 5303 Sherwood Drive, Regina, SK at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Ronda Bosch officiating. A Private Service of Interment at Regina Memorial Gardens.
