Obituary of Faustina Ellena Mazzini

MAZZINI - It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Faustina Mazzini (nee Galli) at the Pasqua Hospital on June 27, 2006. Faustina was born on August 18, 1930 in Lucca, Italy in the Tuscany Region. Before coming to Canada in 1962, she worked for the Coates thread-making factory for 16 years, enjoying every minute of it. Upon arriving in Canada on November 11, 1962 and on November 18, 1962 was united in marriage to Armando Mazzini. Faustina worked at the Sherwood House Motel and for Modern Building Cleaning. Predeceased by her husband Armando in 1999; and her parents, Alessandro and Emma. She is survived by her loving son Alex (Val) and granddaughter Makayla of Regina; sister Franca Ricchi; brother Bruno Galli; and many nephews and nieces, all of Lucca, Italy; as well as special friend Valerie Fracchia of Regina. We would like to thank the staff at the Pasqua Hospital for all the wonderful care give to Faustina in the final weeks of her life, as well as to Valerie Fracchia for all her love and tireless support from the time Faustina came to Canada until her untimely passing. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, June 30, 2006 at 10:30 A.M. in Little Flower R.C. Church, 420 College Avenue. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers gratefully declined.
