Obituary of Arthur Frank Wolfe

WOLFE - On Wednesday, July 5th, 2006, Arthur Frank Wolfe of Regina passed away at the age of 89. Arthur was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Barbara Wolf, his sister Emma (Henry) Miller and his wife Leona (Debert) in 1985. He is survived by his son Jim Wolfe (Granby, Quebec) and daughter Carol (Dennis) Vandale (Winnipeg, Manitoba) and grandchildren Trevor and Alyssa Vandale. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and his close friend Irma with happy memories. Arthur was born in Edenwold, Sask. and spent his early adult years teaching in southern Saskatchewan. His career took him in a different direction as he later entered the sales world with Electrolux, Wescab School Manufacturing, and Real Estate. His various jobs took him to Yorkton, Brandon and Winnipeg before finally returning to Regina in 1956. Arts main enjoyment in life came from playing cards and the slot machines. He was affectionately called "Cribbage King of Saskatchewan and played in various Bridge Clubs in Regina. Prior to Leonas passing in 1985, they were avid golfers and Roughrider supporters. Every evening at home was spent with a pot of coffee, a scrabble board and a game of cards. Art was fond of telling stories, performing magic tricks and was often called upon to be the MC at family weddings. Flowers are gratefully declined. A visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held at Christ the King R. C. Church, 3237 Garnet Street on Monday, July 10th at 11:00 a.m.
