Obituary of Bonnie Lynn Birch

BONNIE LYNN BIRCH With her family at her side, Bonnie passed away on Friday, July 14th, 2006 in Regina at the age of 65. Born and educated in Kenora, Ontario Bonnie never lost her attachment to that area or her love of Lake of the Woods. In 1962 she and Wain were married, and his work took them to many different communities where their circle of friends grew and expanded. Her parents Gert and Bill McKay of Kenora, Ontario, predeceased Bonnie. Bonnie is survived by her loving husband Wain, their two daughters, Corinne (Wayne) Sawatzky of Saskatoon and Sonja Birch of Regina. Her grandchildren were the apples of Bonnies eye and Adam, April, Danielle, Melinda and Josey will miss "Nana deeply. Family, extended family and friends who have wonderful memories to share will also miss Bonnie. A special thank you to Doctors Lewis, Carter and Geddes, the doctors, nurses and staff at the Regina General Hospital, Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit and Regina Palliative Home Care. Their exceptional kindness and sensitivity made it much easier for Bonnie and her family. In celebration of Bonnies life a Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 5020 Sherwood Drive, Regina on Wednesday, July 19th at 10:30 a.m. with Father Eugene Schaffer officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Regina Palliative Care Inc., Palliative Home Care, 4F 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK S4T 1A5.
