Obituary of Marjorie Helen Pearce

PEARCE, MARJORIE HELEN - Born in Waskada, Manitoba on January 22, 1913 passed away on Sunday July 16, 2006 at the Pasqua Hospital. Marjorie was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Amy Stovin, son Michael, husbands Alfred Cawley and Gordon Pearce, and fourteen siblings. She is survived by sisters-in-law Gertie Stovin and Evelyn Stovin; numerous nieces and nephews and an extended family of friends. Marjorie spent many years living at First Baptist Place and most recently lived at Parkside Extendicare and Santa Maria Home. The family want to extend a sincere appreciation to all of those that cared for Marjorie during her times of need in particular the attendants at Parkside and Santa Maria and the special nurses Chi and Andrea on the 4th floor of the Pasqua Hospital. In the true pioneering spirit of the early 1900s Marjorie grew up and lived a rugged life of some hardship but was always prepared to face all challenges head on. Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday July 21, 2006 at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina with Rev. Henry Friesen officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. For friends so wishing donations may be made to a charity of their choice.
